About Me

Hi, I'm Étienne! I enjoy meeting new people from different backgrounds and learn more about each other's life experience! I also love to learn new languages, cooking and walking to appreciate what a city has to offer.

By day, I'm a high school mathematics teacher to students who just immigrated to Québec and do not speak French yet. I love having such diverse teenagers in my classroom. I am also involved with a robotics team where I teach computer science to teenagers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To live life fully by meeting people from all around the world ! Learn how life is in other countries, away from tourist traps.

Interests

Mathematics, computer science, robotics and teaching, obviously.

Been playing the violin for over 20 years, played at a couple of weddings. I like to play traditional party songs (reels) and popular music (pop, movies, video games).

I love learning the basics of other languages. Big grammar nerd.

In the summer, I like to go out hiking in nature and kayaking on rivers and lakes.
