Mi nombre es Laura Barra Curaqueo, nací en Chile, Santiago, y me crié casi toda la vida en Murcia, el sur este de España.
A los 22 años me fui a vivir a Salzburgo, Austria, gracias a la Beca Leonardo da Vinci que me dió la Unión Europea para trabajar allí. Más tarde, me fui a vivir a Luxemburgo dos años y medio, tiempo durante el cual estudié un master en Bolsa y Mercados Financieros.
Actualmente vivo en el sur de Francia, cerca de Niza, y trabajo de manera independiente y autónoma como coach y psicoterapeuta, utilizando también otras herramientas holísticas.

Desde muy joven me ha gustado viajar y aprender idiomas, lo que me ha llevado a conocer diferentes lugares de mundo, como Francia, Italia, Alemania, Reino Unid, República Checa, Austria, Suiza, Bélgica, Los Países Bajos, Luxemburgo, Tailandia, Singapur, Estados Unidos, Canada, México, Argentina, Bahamas y ahora en diciembre quiero ir a Australia, Sidney, para visitar a una prima que vive en Cairns y aprovechar de conocer Sidney durante unos días.

Hablo español, inglés, italiano, y francés, y he estudiado alemán, sin embargo no me acuerdo mucho.

Me encanta conocer a personas de todo el mundo y aprender sobre su cultura.

My name is Laura Barra Curaqueo, I was born in Chile, Santiago, and I grew up almost all my life in Murcia, the south east of Spain.
At the age of 22 I went to live in Salzburg, Austria, thanks to the Leonardo da Vinci Scholarship that the European Union gave me to work there. Later, I went to live in Luxembourg for two and a half years, during which time I studied a master's degree in Stock Market and Financial Markets.
I currently live in the south of France, near Nice, and work independently and autonomously as a coach and psychotherapist, also using other holistic tools.

Since I was very young I have liked to travel and learn languages, which has led me to visit different places around the world, such as France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Thailand, Singapore, United States, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Bahamas and now in December I want to go to Australia, Sydney, to visit a cousin who lives in Cairns and take advantage of getting to know Sydney for a few days.

I speak Spanish, English, Italian, and French, and I have studied German, however I don't remember much.

I love meeting people from all over the world and learning about their culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Utilicé Couchsurfing hace 10 años para visitar Suiza con mi novio. Tuve la oportunidad de conocer a varias familias en Berna, Lucerna y Zurich, y me gustó mucho la experiencia. En aquella época yo tenia 21 años, era muy joven y no tenía mucho dinero para pagar hoteles con mi novio, por lo que optamos por esta opción para poder viajar y conocer mejor a las personas de Suiza. Más tarde, eliminé mi cuenta de Couchsurfing porque pensé que nunca más la iba a utilizar, sin embargo, ahora que voy a Sidney me gustaría volver a utilizarla, entre otras cosas para conocer a personas de la ciudad y evitar los precios tan tan elevados. Estaré viajando con mi prima Mariajesus y necesitamos a una familia que nos hospede del 27 de diciembre al 2 de enero. Estamos agradecidas de antemano, ya que de verdad queremos conocer la ciudad, sin embargo nos es imposible pagar lo que los hoteles están pidiendo para esas fechas. Podemos aportar con comida o algo de dinero también. Gracias 😊

I used Couchsurfing 10 years ago to visit Switzerland with my boyfriend. I had the opportunity to meet several families in Bern, Lucerne and Zurich, and I really enjoyed the experience. At that time I was 21 years old, I was very young and I didn't have much money to pay for hotels with my boyfriend, so we opted for this option to be able to travel and get to know the people of Switzerland better. Later, I deleted my Couchsurfing account because I thought I would never use it again, however, now that I am going to Sydney I would like to use it again, among other things to meet people in the city and avoid the high prices. I will be traveling with my cousin Mariajesus and we need a family to host us from December 27 to January 2. We are grateful in advance, since we really want to get to know the city, however it is impossible for us to pay what the hotels are asking for those dates. We can contribute with food or some money too. Thank you 😊
