Hi! I'm Maria, an independent photojournalist and documentary photographer from Andorra, currently working on long-term projects about war, memory, violence and survival. I spend a lot of time travelling for my work, especially between France and Ukraine. I photograph everyday life in places marked by conflict, but I'm also interested in the small, quiet things that survive inside the chaos: conversations in kitchens, people sharing stories late at night, the strange poetry of ordinary life 🌙 I speak French, Spanish, Catalan and English, and I love meeting people from different backgrounds. When I'm not working, you'll probably find me walking for hours, reading, writing, swimming, drinking too much coffee or talking about books, cinema and the places that change us. I'm respectful, calm, curious and used to adapting to very different environments. I love discovering cities through the people who live there rather than through guidebooks. For me, Couchsurfing is less about finding a place to sleep than about sharing a moment, a meal, a story, or a fragment of life.
