Overview
About Me
I am a single African American woman in Northern California who loves metal and progressive rock. I have worked as a social worker for many years, especially with low income people and people experiencing homelessness. I believe that people should be judged on their character, not their socioeconomic status or demographic. I like to write about my experiences and things that are important to me. I also like to shop, especially at thrift stores.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I feel that travel should be available to everyone, regardless of their economic status. Not everyone can afford a fancy hotel or wants to stay in one. I would like to get to know people who live in the places that I visit, not just visit tourist traps. I live in a tiny apartment, but I have a futon that is available to people who want to travel without spending a lot of money.
