I have worked as a social worker for many years, especially with low income people and people experiencing homelessness. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I feel that travel should be available to everyone, regardless of their economic status. Not everyone can afford a fancy hotel or wants to stay in one. I would like to get to know people who live in the places that I visit, not just visit tourist traps. I live in a tiny apartment, but I have a futon that is available to people who want to travel without spending a lot of money.
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite bands include Led Zeppelin, Rush, Yes, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest. I like science fiction books and movies. I also like to read romances, biographies, and books about travel and social justice.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
In 1988, I moved from Pennsylvania to California with $500 and without knowing anyone there. I have been here ever since.
