I got to know about this app in my travels through Central America, someone told me about it and I loved the idea of staying with locals and having a cultural exchange. I’ve met some people that hosting is their passion, since they can’t travel, they see the world through the eyes and stories of the surfers, and I think that’s amazing. I haven’t hosted yet because of my home situation it’s a bit complicated but I hope I can do it soon.

One of my main purposes when I travel is to understand the concept of life for the people at the places I go, I wanna see their way of living, what they eat, how to cook it… things like that. I also wanna see the nature around those magical towns, and also the city but I generally want to see it from the highest viewpoint.
I am a good listener so I’m genuinely interested in your story, if we have time, I wanna know who you are.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I adopted a puppy and a few weeks later I realized that she was born deaf, taking care of her made me understand people that can’t hear or speak and how difficult it is for them to communicate with the world. I became closer to a deaf person living in my neighborhood and learned sign language from her, eventually I became an interpreter and helped some other people to learn sign language.
That was more than 12 years ago and I lost contact with them so I stopped practicing but when I moved to the United States I wanted to put it into practice. Sadly, American Sign Language it’s different, in fact every country has their own Sign Language and now I’m learning the ASL.
