I'm a 31-year-old Peruvian-Spanish 🇵🇪🇪🇦 traveler currently living in Australia on a work and holiday visa. While I call the Canary Islands home 🌞, I've spent the last few months living and working at Lady Elliot Island, a gem of the Great Barrier Reef 🐠🐢🪸🇦🇺. When I’m not snorkeling with rays or spotting whales, I’m traveling to the Gold Coast for my days off, exploring new places and embracing the beauty of nature 🌿.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my time at uni, I volunteered with AIESEC, an international volunteering platform, where I had the chance to host many international travelers in my hometown (Trujillo, Peru 🇵🇪) and also embark on my own volunteering journeys (Medellin, Colombia). That experience was so rewarding—I loved the cultural exchange, the connections, and the friendships that came from it. 💫

🌏Traveling this way allowed me to see the world through a more genuine lens, immersing myself in local cultures rather than just being a visitor. Now, as I continue exploring the world, I want to keep that spirit alive. I found Couchsurfing a the perfect way for me to connect with locals, experience places in a more authentic and meaningful way and continue building those global friendships. ✈️🏡

Interests

I’m passionate about connecting with people from different cultures 🌏, learning about new perspectives and sharing stories over a good meal 🍽️. In my free time, I enjoy snorkeling 🤿, dancing 💃, practicing yoga 🧘‍♀️ and cooking (I'm always up for cooking some of my favorite Peruvian dishes if you'd like! 🍲).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

🪸🇦🇺 Snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef was an absolute dream! 😍 I got to swim alongside manta rays, turtles and reef sharks. It was such a magical experience being so close to these incredible creatures in their natural habitat! 🐢🦈🌊

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you host me, I’d love to share some of my favorite things! 😊 I can teach you some Spanish, show you a few dance moves 💃🏻, or even guide you through a relaxing yoga session 🧘🏻‍♀️.

My husband Ernesto is also passionate about cooking, and we’d be happy to whip up some delicious Peruvian dishes for you—trust me, you'll love it! 🍲 On top of that, we’d be more than happy to share interesting stories and travel experiences from our adventures around South America, Europe and Asia. 🌍
