About Me
Hi, I'm Ahmetcan! Born on January 7, 2004, and currently pursuing a degree in Tourism Guidance. I'm lucky enough to be on an Erasmus adventure in beautiful Portugal right now. I’m a curious traveler who loves exploring new cultures and connecting with people from all walks of life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that the best way to experience a place is through its people. Couchsurfing offers a unique opportunity to connect with locals, share stories, and create unforgettable memories. Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I have an eclectic taste, but I particularly enjoy indie, rock, and a bit of Turkish folk music. I love discovering new sounds, so feel free to recommend your favorites!
Movies: I'm a fan of feel-good movies, travel documentaries, and anything with a good plot twist. Classics like Into the Wild or The Secret Life of Walter Mitty inspire me to keep exploring.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving to Portugal for my Erasmus program has been a life-changing experience! Living in a new country, meeting people from all over the world, and stepping out of my comfort zone has taught me so much about myself and the world around me.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I’d love to teach you some Turkish words, phrases, or even some easy traditional recipes like making menemen or Turkish tea.
Learn: I’m eager to learn about your culture, language, and any skills you’d like to share. If you play an instrument or know a local recipe, I’d love to learn!
Share: Let’s share stories, meals, and travel tips. I can also share insights about my home country, Turkey, and the beautiful places I’ve visited so far.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a tourism student, I can share fascinating insights about places and cultures, and I love swapping travel stories. I can also cook some Turkish dishes for you, and if you're learning Turkish, I'd be happy to teach you a few words or phrases!
