Hi everyone, I’m Alinda. I work in tech company, but I’m not the typical “tech person.” I spend more time thinking about people, stories, and places than systems. I enjoy slow moments, walking around a city, sitting in cafés, or just observing how people live their daily lives. I’m not into rushed itineraries, I like to feel a place. I love films, especially the kind that stay with you for days, anything that makes you think a little deeper. I also have a soft spot for small, simple things, good snacks, quiet conversations, and unexpected moments, like seeing a rainbow at the right time) I would love to meet or host some traveler in my humble apartment in Jakarta. I tried to travel abroad once a year and within my country as much as I can.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I’m not here to find a place to stay, I’m not looking to be a guest. I’m more interested in meeting people, hosting when I can, and sharing experiences. For me, Couchsurfing is about connection, not accommodation. I tend to spend a lot of time on my own and can be a bit introverted, so this is also my way of stepping outside my comfort zone and meeting people with good intentions. I believe genuine connections are rare, and that’s really what I’m here for.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I’m really into psychological and slow-burn films, the kind that stay with you after they end. Books: I enjoy books that explore human nature and emotions. I also like Japanese literature, especially works by Haruki Murakami, I’m drawn to the quiet and slightly surreal feeling in his writing. Music: I appreciate film scores and instrumental music, especially compositions that can create a certain mood without words.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can share stories about Indonesia, something that I know and I've experience. The culture, daily life, and how things actually feel beyond what you see online. I can also introduce you to Indonesian snacks (which I take quite seriously 😄), and maybe a few simple phrases if you’re curious, not the dirty one 🤣 Learn: I love learning how people see the world, their habits, perspectives, and everyday routines. I’m especially interested in small, personal things, what makes a place feel like home, how people spend their weekends, or what they value in life. Share: I enjoy genuine conversations, the kind that just flow naturally without forcing anything. I can be a good listener or a good companion, depending on the moment. I also like sharing quiet experiences, like walking around the city, sitting in a café, or just enjoying a simple meal together.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I can offer good company, genuine conversations, and a calm presence. I enjoy sharing stories, exchanging perspectives, or simply spending time in a relaxed way. I’d also be happy to bring Indonesian snacks or small treats to share.
My Interests
I’m drawn to simple but meaningful experiences. I enjoy walking around a city without a strict plan, finding small cafés, and just observing everyday life. Sometimes the best moments come from doing nothing in particular. Food is also a big part of how I experience a place. I like trying local snacks, street food, or anything that feels authentic. But more than anything, I enjoy conversations. It’s exciting to meet new people, especially those with good intentions. I believe genuine connections are rare and important, and that’s something I truly value when I travel.
