About Me
Hello! My name is Joohoon, a 21-year-old Korean guy.
I'm an adventurer who just started traveling the world, currently on a spontaneous journey from Baku to westward. I'm traveling without a fixed schedule, following wherever my heart leads me.
Im a longterm backpacker moving around the world
The values I cherish most are freedom, joy, challenge, and being authentic.
My friends describe me as fun, humorous, and confident.
I enjoy sincere conversations and don't get nervous in unfamiliar environments or meeting new people. I have a special talent for brightening up any situation with a good joke!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started couchsurfing to meet people and hear their stories.
I want experiences that aren't on the map and believe that meeting strangers is where real travel begins.
On this journey from Korea westward starting in India, I want to experience cities through the eyes of locals.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy listening to local music wherever I travel.
I appreciate all genres including jazz, hip-hop, idol music, and bands. For movies, I love sci-fi and fantasy, and my favorite book is The Lord of the Rings.
I'm also a big fan of UFC and combat sports.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the Marine Corps, I improved from 0 to 23 pull-ups and from 20 to 120 push-ups.
Through this experience, I realized that "nothing is impossible" and grew not only physically but mentally as well.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Korean language, share Marine Corps training techniques, and offer cooking tips!
I'm also pretty good at shooting from my military experience. 🎯
Above all, I love learning - languages, food, culture, jokes, anything from every country fascinates me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My specialty is Korean tteokbokki (spicy rice cake)! I promise a taste you'll never forget.
I can help with cooking, running or home workouts, and household chores.
I'm also a storyteller - from military stories to life contemplations and travel tales,
I'll create enjoyable moments with interesting conversations!
