Born and raised in Kazakhstan, I’ve always been curious about the world beyond the steppe, not just the places, but the people, the cultures, the weird traditions, and the “wait, you eat what?” moments. That curiosity (and maybe a bit of wanderlust) is now taking me to the Netherlands, where I’m about to continue my master’s.
I’m the kind of person who’s always down for a spontaneous adventure, whether it’s hiking up a mountain or getting completely lost in a new city and pretending it was the plan all along. I love connecting with people, sharing stories, and collecting memories that don’t necessarily make sense but always make great stories later. Life’s just more fun when you don’t overthink it, just pack your bag and go ✈️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I’m all about meeting real people, not just seeing touristy spots. For me, travel is about connecting with locals, swapping stories, and finding those unexpected moments that don’t make it into the guidebooks. Plus, I love the idea of sharing laughs, meals, and maybe a couch or two along the way. If you’ve got a spare seat or just want to hang out and share some culture, I’m your person!

Interests

I’m basically obsessed with anything that involves mountains, snow, or sliding down a hill at questionable speeds. Winter stuff? Love it. Sports in general? Always down. When I’m not out doing something active, I’m probably messing around on the piano or nose-deep in a book like a total nerd (the fun kind, I swear). I travel a lot: not the fancy kind, more like “get lost, try weird food, make random friends” kind. Also into learning languages, mostly so I can chat with more people and pretend language exchange is a legit hobby (it is, right?).
