About Me
ABOUT ME
Hello! I’m Lin Zi — an explorer of the world. In the past decade I’ve traveled to 20+ countries, and I’ve learned that the true magic of travel lies not just in landscapes, but in unexpected encounters and sincere conversations.
To me, traveling means measuring the map with my own footsteps while listening to the stories of local people. The world isn’t too big, people just dream too small. For me, each city is a lesson. Each home, a story. Each host, a teacher.
MY TRAVEL PHILOSOPHY
I prefer slow, deep travel. Instead of rushing through attractions with a checklist, I like staying longer, observing everyday rhythms, and understanding the soul of a place. I’m a responsible, grateful guest — I help with chores, cook meals, or bring small gifts as a way of saying thank you.
WHO I’D LIKE TO MEET
People who are sincere, open-minded, curious about the world, and who respect the spirit of sharing. Whether you’re new to Couchsurfing or experienced, if you enjoy meaningful conversations over rushed sightseeing, we’ll get along wonderfully.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
WHY I’M ON COUCHSURFING
I believe in the power of hospitality and human connection. Couchsurfing makes travel more meaningful — it opens doors to kitchens, living rooms, neighborhoods, and real stories. I want to meet fellow dreamers and explorers, to exchange culture, to cook together, and to build friendships that don’t end at the airport.
Interests
hobbies: photography, hiking, cooking and baking, tasting different coffees, learning languages, playing piano, yoga, cycling, table tennis, badminton, and discovering new perspectives on life. I’m at my happiest when I’m learning, exploring, and sharing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have practiced yoga for more than ten years and Tai Chi for five years. I feel happy when I am immersed in it.
