About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have room for one refugee family at my house. I don't care what my government says.

Explore the world and make it a better place

ABOUT ME

Funny, smart, giving, punctual, honest, trustworthy, charismatic,a good cook, open minded. I like to help people when I can, especially if they're hosting me. Enjoy working on my house and getting my gardens, bees, and chickens in place.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Some of us are travelers, some us are not. I travel, and therefore can hopefully be able to help someone travel more cheaply by letting them stay with me for free.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just with friends of mine around the world. (before 2007/CS.org)

I just returned from a wonderful 3 week trip through Lithuania and Germany. I stayed with hosts every night I was in Lithuania and had nothing but an absolute and wonderful experience in each new city I was in!! Such a wonderful way to explore and meet all the wonderful people on this earth:))

A few nights in Lima, Peru, (2012) awesome!!

Surfed two cities in Poland, (2014) wonderful!!!

Surfed in Montenegro and Albania recently, but only with people that weren't from those countries;)

Interests

Fishing, hiking, camping, biking, working out, movies (i don't own a tv), partying, traveling, making new friends, projects on the house, family, gardening, permaculture, urban farming, sustainable living.

Music, Movies, and Books

Beasts of the Southern Wild, Safety Not Guaranteed, Holy Motors. Harvest for Hope by Jane Goodall.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing was seeing bears swimming in the ocean in Kodiak, AK, and being about 4 feet away from them at the time.

Also swimming with dolphins in New Zealand, the look they give you when you dive into their environment, as if to say, "Come on, let's play! Keep up with me"

Teach, Learn, Share

Be mindful that there are two train stations in Vienna, i didn't know that and got on the wrong train. But I think they were more scared of my green haired, green faced (hungover), 15 yr old kid traveling alone than I was of the machine gun pointing, Czechoslovakian guard in the train car at the border stop.

Don't try and learn the meaning of the word cogotero when traveling in Peru.

Just because you don't see any bears, doesn't mean they aren't close by when hiking trails in Alaska.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Australia, Austria, Belize, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Mexico, Montenegro, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United States
