About Me

CURRENT MISSION

La vida, si no es aventura, no es nada

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Please don’t request to stay with me if you are planning to arrive at night and leave the next day early in the morning.

I love meeting people and knowing their story. Open your heart to me: I really want to know who you are.

Interests

I am a pediatrician, so I help sick children to get recovered, I love doing that (and I get paid for it). I AM GRATEFUL WITH LIFE because I live in a wonderful place (Cancun) and meet interesting people all the time (thanks to couchsurfing).

Please talk to me as if we knew each other since we were children. Maybe we won’t see each other again, so let’s make it memorable 🙂

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I can hear all types of music genres, but I prefer some of them more than others (my favorite bands are the Beatles and Radiohead).

Dancing: Of course I know how to dance Salsa! and by the way, I can demonstrate you can dance salsa too! Even if you have never danced anything at all in your life!

Movies: I love movies with deep messages, but I can also recommend you amazing stupid movies! It’s true that horror genre doesn’t have high quality movies, but I can recommend some horror movies that you will love! During COVID I saw all movies that have won an Oscar and/or Palm D’Or awards. I can recommend which ones I liked most and why.

Anime: I am a big fan of anime! Dragon’s Dogma probably my favorite anime of all time,

Books: During my youth I read about 300 books because I wanted to become a writer, but one day I realized it was much more interesting knowing a person you have in front of you. But of course, if you recommend me a really good book, i will read it 🙂

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming in a lake full of crocodiles (of course I didn’t know they were there!)

Teach, Learn, Share

Videogames: I was addicted to videogames when I was a kid. I had to stop my addiction when I started medicine school, but now i am returning to this lovely addiction again. ☺️

Chess: another addiction I had when I was a kid. Now I am playing again and have reached and ELO of 1700 🤓

Karate: I became national champion during my youth, but I had to stop practicing because of injuries 🤕

Cooking: I love cooking, but it takes me a lot of time. If I participated in a cooking contest, I would make chicken curry or shakshouka. If we become really good friends, I could cook it for you 👨🏻‍🍳

History: my mom was a history teacher, so I can give you a general idea of ancient Mexico. Did you know that the meteorite that killed the dinosaurs fell down in Mexico?

Geography: my mom was also teacher of Geography, and I have backpacked almost all my country. Want to touch whales? Being surrounded by butterflies? Going inside a cave full of snakes and have them so close that you could even touch them? Best tacos? Best tequila? Just ask 😌

Religion: I consider myself half buddhist and half catholic, but I don’t have problems going inside a church of any religion.

Poetry: I consider myself a poet. If you are also one, I could share some of my poetry.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sometimes I have had such an incredible connection with some couchsurfers that I have cancelled all my appointments and I have taken them to the best places of the area 🙋🏻‍♂️
