我做过的一件不可思议的事情

~Ok this is a good one~ I was working in Manhattan, living in Harlem, & working on Wall. I was doing my usual duties when it donned on me though office gossip circulated by the smokers, that some major overhauling of 100 Wall St. Was starting up. My Window office was on the other side on the building so I couldn't see whilst I worked.

I get the idea I could use some pieces of Wall Street. So I whet down 18 floors, right up to the superintendent of the project and asked him for salvage rights. He got a good chuckle out of it, and gave me his cell # "If any-one short of the mayor comes down here to bother you call me, my names Dave." We yell out over construction, shaking hands.

I grabbed a fifty lbs chunk of asphalt right away
But at the end of the day... They had scraped thousands of lbs of marble. Later that night Lesli & I drove there from her place in Brooklyn for four 150lb slabs of Wall Street. The 4 of them darn near sat that little German car on its wheels.

THAT CHUNCK OF STREET asphalt STILL SITS IN MY OLD OFFICE YEARS LATER...To this day. My former boss tells me no one has a clue what to do with it.
