About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to live and laugh and dream and eat really good food.
ABOUT ME
um, well, i'm not someone who likes writing descriptions of myself, nor do i really enjoy discussing myself... there's just so many other things to talk about. which i suppose makes me an interested (though not necessarily an interesting) person - i think i'm open, i want to understand everything and everyone. i find that each person i come accross opens my eyes just a little wider, which reminds me that i regret not buying the camera which takes panoramic photographs. speaking of, i go wild with cameras... and get on especially well with other people that like taking ridiculous photos. i also love experimenting in the kitchen - i believe determinedly that maple syrup complements any dish. sometimes i combine cooking with photography... with some interesting results. my overarching passion is living, and i don't believe you've lived until you've travelled. the world fascinates me although what goes on within it sometimes breaks my heart. i have an insatiable desire to experience all that the world has to offer but after being away from my own country for the last year i've also learnt that there really is no place like home. when i do go back home, i hope that couchsurfing will bring some of the world to me.
PHILOSOPHY
what matters at the end of the day is being able to have a damn good conversation over dinner.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment i'm studying in france and travelling as much as possible around europe. But i can't wait to get home and start hosting. canberra (yes, the capital of australia) is yet to be recognised as a hot tourist destination... but as soon as the international people start flowing i'll be ready to show them the sights.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
oohhh wild ones..! no, not exactly - but it does make you realise how many lovely people are out there...
Interests
everything and anything. i've a tried a little of a lot of things... i guess i lead a sort of life of degustation. i'm an ex-gymnast, i've done a lot of dance, i also tried football, i played hockey, i've sailed. i'm a terrible swimmer (and surfer). i have a guitar that i pretend to play sometimes. i love cooking, and even more so, eating...

Music, Movies, and Books
ooooohhh so many movies i want to see atm! and too many books to read in this short short lifetime..! some books that i love would have to be... sammy's hill by kristen gore, a fine balance (i don't think a book has ever made me cry and laugh at the same time as much as this book), i love anything by wilde, ... um, what else? pride and predjudice - the book not the movie, clockwork orange, anything by agatha christie... as for movies - i'm easy to please... maybe it's my patriotism, but i did like Australia...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
my latest greatest achievement would have to be keeping a pot plant alive (my first success!), as for amazing things that i've seen... the bryce canyon, sahara desert and the taj mahal (i know that's cliché, but some things are cliché for a reason...) would have to be up there in the top ten.
Teach, Learn, Share
oh dear! i know how to say 'cheers' in a few different languages. and i may share my party tricks with you... can you do the worm roll, or the moon walk? note: i'm still working on the moon walk myself... but maybe we can practise together...
