Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offer my visitors a warm welcome, a relaxed and casual comfortable place to rest, suggestions on how to best enjoy Plymouth, and a personal tour of my area if you want and my schedule permits.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love it! The CouchSurfing project seems like a great way of meeting and befriending warm, open, intelligent people from around the world. What a way to foster a global village.
Interests
I'm interested in life stories: where did you come from, where are you going... why?
That's a huge part of what I love about travel. The most lasting impressions of past travels have been the people I've met, not the "must-see" touristy things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled from California to Japan underwater.
And not so amazing, but the experience is a treasure: taking groups of local students to Plymouth's Sister City in Japan. It's pretty awesome when what was first perceived as a "once in a lifetime" has influenced the direction of studies and careers, especially for those whose horizons were once bounded by the town line. The effect on the participants is what is amazing to me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to roll your own sushi and wash it down with sake.
If it's broken, I can probably teach you how to fix it - whatever "it" is.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bahamas, Canada, China, Japan, Mexico, Philippines, Puerto Rico, South Korea, United States, Virgin Islands, U.S.
