About Me

CURRENT MISSION

training for spring bicycle races

ABOUT ME

My heart is for the open places!

I am passionate about: cooking (feeding people in general), reading Jack Gilbert and Whitman on my roof, my own attempts at fiction, learning new languages, cycling, baking bread, brew pubs and music venues, drunken theological conversations late at night with JP, traveling, hitch hiking, THE MOUNTAINS.

I measure the success of a day by the number of cups of tea, quality interactions with friends and strangers, and the number of kilometers covered on my bike.

PHILOSOPHY

If you've never:

1) laid out under the stars long enough to notice their movement
2) tucked in and thrown your weight around the saddle of your bicycle to handle the corners as you plunge down a coastal hill, full speed, on a twisting road at Big Sur

then you need to seriously reconsider your lifestyle...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will help you fall in love with Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2008 I backpacked through Europe staying with a lot of couchsurfers and it was amazing.
In 2009 I biked down the west coast with a good friend, from Seattle to southern california and then bused and hitch hiked around southern Mexico; couchsurfing made it all possible.

Time to give back and continue the trend! Come visit Seattle!
