About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live and learn, see the world!
ABOUT ME
I grew up on a dairy farm in a small town on the east coast of Canada. My life has been dedicated to farming and still is. But at the moment, I´m doing a trip around the world to learn more about agriculture, and experience different cultures!
PHILOSOPHY
"Don't take life too seriously, nobody makes it out alive anyways!"
Smiles are contagious.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We each have our part to play in making this world what we want it to be.
I like to offer my place to people passing by and help them allong the way. When I couch surf, it's to learn how people live elsewhere and get a better appreciation for the local culture.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I first learned about couch surfing from a pair of hitch hikers I picked up one night and fell in love with the concept! Since then I have hosted a few guests and have enjoyed it.
It's not in my nature to ask anything of anyone, I would rather be helping others. So sometimes I am a bit reluctant to ask.
Interests
Agriculture and food. Culture and the inner workings of different societies. I'm very curious by nature and can be interrested in just about anything..
- culture
- dining
- cheese
- boating
- surfing
- sailing
- wrestling

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I'll give anything a try! I prefer Indie rock, and can't seem to get into dance and techno styles of music, but they have their place I guess.
Matt Mays and El Torpedo, Arctic Monkeys, Modest Mouse, Hey Rosetta! are just a few examples...
Books: Non-fiction. An Imperfect Offering by Dr James Orbinski, A Short History of Progress by Ronald Wright
Movies: I like movies about true stories or movies that make you think.. Into the Wild, What the Bleep.., A Beautiful Mind...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've made it this far!
I was challenged to an arm wrestling match in a crowded market in Guatemala! It caused quite a scene and gathered a large crowd. It was fun once I realised what was going on!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to milk a cow! I love having conversations about food and farming.
I'd love to learn how to make cheese, build a house, and sail a boat... but not at the same time!
