my son has been couch surfing and is having a great time so I would like to see different countries and meet lots of these interesting people that are couchsurfing

ABOUT ME

I am a very fit Vegetarian 68 year old granny. I have 2 sons and 3 grandchildren. I was born in Glasgow, after being married for 2 years we moved to Vancouver BC Canada. After 10 year we returned to the East Neuk of Fife and have lived in several villages in the past 37 year. It is such a beautiful area by the sea and good walking where you can have a great life. I am active in the Peace movement and still at it after 50 years. I completed a 1000 mile walk across France in the name of Peace I have been long distance walking since then and intend to walk in 2013. I like to hear live folk music and run the local folk club I also enjoy most music. Last year I started coastal rowing and now a part of the Scottish rowing community, I play tennis several times a week (only at club level) yoga and patchwork sewing are my other hobbies when I have time. I was working in Albania as a volunteer since 1999 working with street children and love that area of the world. I have traveled to Greek islands and love Crete, California in the Red Woods they are so beautiful, and Mexico, I also love Scotland and the mountains perfect for long walks I like to end the evening with a nice glass of wine. I am looking forward to meeting interesting people from other countries and cultures

PHILOSOPHY

I am very aware of the injustices in the world and would like to see the gaps between the rich and poor reduced and a nuclear free world. I have a philosophy that I try to treat people as I would like to be treated myself and it dosn't cost money to be considerate to others and try to smile a lot.

I will have a floor with a good mattress in my flat that I share with the cat, I will be happy to show anyone around the area

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have a lways enjoyed staying with friend and have friends stay with me I am looking forward to have CouchSurfers stay It will be a relaxed time at my house
I have spend many holidays camping or using bunkhouses so ready for floors or couches.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

The Kite Runner, The Painted Veil, are the last 2 films that I saw, the last book that I read was "Notes from an Exhibition" which I enjoyed Usually I like social history type films and books sometimes I a like a light book or film just for their entertainment I think that you could say that I like a wide range of of books and films
