About Me

CURRENT MISSION

i dont want to miss out on anything. my travelling shoes have been gathering dust for a long time.

ABOUT ME

ive allways wanted to know how and why. ive probably been a bit hard on my brain and body since i set few limits. i used to be shy but travelling the world on my motorcycle gave me confidence, then i ran with the ball. i married in my late twenties, its been a success. i have 3 kids and something must have went right cause nobody wants to leave home. ive been a millwright all my life and grow cattle and timber. i try to look for the beauty in humanity.

PHILOSOPHY

im definitely here for a good time. yet responsibility always rears its ugly face. i want to leave the world a bit better than i found it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i want to host some travellers

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

when i travelled most of my stays were in youth hostels, but while in australia a traffic accident resulted in a stay on a big cattle station living in a small shack without power or amenities. i loved it. stayed a month.

Interests

where i live there are few restrictions on weapons. i like to shoot and fish for salmon. i also enjoy harvesting timber with my heavy equiptment. a few drinks with my friends in my rural neighborhood rates high on my list.

Music, Movies, and Books

lots of music. folk, rock, tecno, ect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

when i was a kid i read about the opal miners in lightning ridge australia. i decided that was for me so i saved my money, went to scotland, bought a motorcycle and five months later arrived at the opal fields and staked a claim. didnt get rich.

Teach, Learn, Share

i like to teach folks about the pacific nothwest where i live. the abundance of nature here is truly awe inspiring. also i like to show how the items we use in everyday living come from our forests.
