About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to have a 15min conversation with every person on the planet. Imagine the things you could learn.

ABOUT ME

Well, things have definitely changed for me in the past few years since joining CS. I've left the US and am now living in Switzerland in a small farming village on a hill in the country side with my very beautiful blond haired/blue eyes, Swiss to the core, lovely wife. Who would have ever guessed a back woods boy from a tiny tobacco farming town in central North Carolina, US would end up sitting in the grass on a hill in the Alpine plateau overlooking an infinitely smaller village in central Switzerland and call it home. Life has thus far been quite the adventure and the great thing about it is that it is every changing and I know it will again.

I had quite the change just a few years ago with the aid of some very intriguing shaman that I visited deep in the Peruvian Amazon jungle. Since my encounter with them I feel like I have begun a metamorphosis of sorts. From living as a caterpillar to suddenly realizing that I had sprouted wings and now was beginning my life as a radiant butterfly. It's odd because it is and is not all the same. I guess it's just a new perspective on life and I am really enjoying exploring and seeing things from this new perspective.

Anyway, So I am not in the most exciting of places to visit unless you are looking for a quiet get away just to relax and take walks in the forest (we have an exceptionally beautiful forest here with infinite trails for walking). We have more cows here than people (Also, goats, chickens, sheep, etc..), but it's a beautiful quite place and our doors and hears are always open to new visitors. Hope to see you soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to host and spread the word of couchsurfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I traveled quite a bit in the past few years, but would usually stay at hostels or campground. Sometimes I would crash at people houses and stay on couches. I will admit a lot of those nights were drunk stumbles from a bar and a good nights rest on a friends couch. Ha. This website is what I've always knew either should or would one day exist. I've surfed with a few really cool people and have really enjoyed hosting thus far.

Interests

Meditation, Shamanism, Foreign cultures and religious beliefs, Visionary plant medicines, Philosophy, playing music (so what if i'm not so good), Adventure Outdoor sports (BASE jumping, Sailing, Rock Climbing, Surfing, Slacklining, etc..) Traveling to new locations, Camping, Art, Photography, other humans, Anything new and interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Not big on movies or TV but I do enjoy the occasional interesting documentary.

Music: This is a HUGE range of interest for me. It mostly depends on my mood at the time. I can pretty much honestly say that there is nothing that I do not like when it matches my mood/environment.

Books: In the past few years I have grown a really big book addiction. Living now in a place where it is hard for me to get books in English every time a new one shows up I devour it! If you want a suggestion just ask. I've read quite a few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Way to many to list!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot of outdoor experience..Camping, Rock Climbing, Slacklining, Sailing, and a few others. Somewhat mechanically inclined. Went to school for Graphic Design and Photography, so I could probably help out in those areas. I like to discuss ideas with people, so possibly we could work together to figure something out.
I am also very interested in shamanism, ancient knowledge, spirituality, and the esoteric. I've read up and studied this pretty extensively the last two years and so, while I am still very new, I would love to discuss/learn more about these things.
