alive and well. i'm from the east coast, moved to the high desert of the west, and back east, again. my german shepherd is the apple of my eye. i like taking my time and not being rushed. i love dive bars, local digs, and good food trucks. i make coffee for a living and love what i do. i like to drink dark beer and good whisky.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i like hanging out with people who want to hang out. sometimes, i'm able to host. it's always nice to stay with someone when passing through or visiting an area rather than motel-ing it up, solo.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

driving solo to Decatur, GA to visit Batdorf & Bronson's coffee roastery. i had such a good time; i met tons of great people, stayed in down town Atlanta and felt right at home with new friends. everything was safe and sound, no worries to be had. to everyone i'd met that hadn't heard about the cs project, i told them my story..a story that they're now a part of.

while visiting a friend in hawaii, we watched an active volcano spill over into the sea, sending plumes of radiant orange steam into the air. as we laid on top of the the smooth, cool pahoehoe, stars fell all around us and we listened to whales surface for air on just the other side of the cliff.
