About Me

My guy friends like to say that I'm "one of the boys" but rest assured, I'm pretty feminine too. I'm a passionate lady, kinda classy with a rebel vibe and I like to enjoy a lot of things. I like trying new adventures and challenging myself to step out of my comfort zone. I'm usually quiet and reserved on first meetings but once you get to know me, you'll see that I love to talk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I've always had the taste for wanderlust. I haven't done much traveling yet and I am hoping that joining this network will help me propel myself towards that direction.

Interests

I have many.

First off, I am an aspiring polyglot. I would like to learn different languages--thing is, I don't get to practice them much. I am also very much interested in traveling (I suppose that's a given) and since I can't do much of that yet, I settle at the moment with meeting new people and exploring cuisines--I'd like to think I'm a foodie. Hmm, I guess I shouldn't have used the word "settle." I love meeting new people and exploring new things. I love going to the movies, going to theatre, visiting museums, or just hanging out at a new bookstore to add more reads to my collection. Yeah, I collect books. I'm sorta geeky. BUT I'm also into fashion. I love going down the racks to get myself new clothes.

I also do some dancing and writing. My dream is to be a published author someday--perhaps a successful one. I, uh, teach. So I am very passionate about that. It's a good thing too, 'cause I am yet to meet a student of mine who hates me.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite books are 'Les Miserables' and 'To Kill a Mockingbird.' These are the first books that got me into reading. I also love the Bible.

I don't really have any favorite music but I suppose I like Mozart? Kidding.
Eh, I do like him. Just not a favorite though. I do like to explore different genres and musical tastes.

My answer to "What's your favorite movie?" changes all the time. All you need to know is that I love film and I'm willing to try anything but gore fest. My favorites in the industry are Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman, Johnny Depp, and Tim Burton. When it comes to cinema, I love Japanese the most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess the term 'amazing' is subjective... Well, I have volunteered a lot. I even joined this Children's Rights organization in my university. But really, on the top of my head is gathering the courage to conquer my fears. I had donated blood because I'm super scared of needles. I had also scaled a rock climbing wall and rode three roller coaster rides (small as they may have been) because I wanted to get over my crippling fear of heights. The last thing on my list--well, you'll have to ask me about that. But if there's one amazing thing that I know I've always be proud of is every single moment I have felt proud as a teacher, all those moments that I knew a student of mine has a deep appreciation of me and what I've done for them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A friendly face, a warm smile, and good chats I hope you won't forget. Also, I'll probably immortalize you in one of my literary pieces ;)
