About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live life to the fullest and do so in an ethical and considered way.

ABOUT ME

I am a very energetic, adventurous and curious person. Born and raised in Chicago, college in Denver, worked in DC, grad school in Boston and now live in San Francisco. I have a lot to say on just about every subject, yet I much prefer to listen to the journeys of others. I practice mindfulness meditation to keep myself present and I love working out/running/generally being active!

I've worked for a DC thinktank, Amnesty International, a couple of universities, and a bunch of companies. In the last few years I've been helping companies better design their products to address people's needs.

Oh, and I'm a UX Researcher at Facebook and getting a PhD studying rock bands and digital technology at Harvard.

PHILOSOPHY

I live because I see great beauty in life. Beauty at the beach, on the streets, in happiness and despair, and in realizing one's aspirations or falling short. The greatest lessons are the ones we come to realize through experience, and the greatest lives are lived by those who help others reach self-awareness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am spreading the word about how great a community CS is, and all of the wonderful people I've met through it. I've couchsurfed across Eastern Europe, Seoul, and Sao Paulo, and I've never had a bad experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted several years ago, and a couple more in summer 2014. I am looking forward to surfing and hosting much more in the coming years! The CSers I have met are fun, curious, open-minded, like to party and have intellectual discussions. Basically, my favorite kind of people.
