About Me

I'm currently making my way though Africa on an epic multi-month adventure. I will not be in Hong Kong for most of 2024.

If you need information on cheap and free things to do in Hong Kong, then this article may be helpful for you - https://k-in-motion.com/blog/hong-kong-on-a-budget/

CURRENT MISSION

To see and experience it all; other ways of living, foreign cultures/delicacies and natural wonders.

I've been to 146 (UN+) countries and I'm about 65 countries away from stepping foot in every UN recognised state. I've chronicled some of my adventures at https://k-in-motion.com/

ABOUT ME

I'm not European or American, no matter how much you think I am. Ethnicity does not dictate where you are from. I am a Hong Konger!
請勿問我,"你原来係邊國人?”. 我係香港人!

I always look at the world with the wide-eyed wonder of a child and would much rather be exploring than working! I'm fascinated by different cultures and languages.

I speak 5 languages badly and would really love to work on my Spanish so I can live in South America one day.

PHILOSOPHY

I'll try anything once, twice if I like it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed on all 6 inhabited continents.

I have hosted people from Asia, the Americas and Europe, but everyone is welcome! :o)

Couchsurfing is a great way to meet like-minded people and really get to know a place through the eyes of a local.

Interests

Travelling, hiking, writing, cycling, nightlife.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into comedy, action and sci fi. Especially combined with rock music.

There's a good chance you'll find me at a music festival.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't just narrow it down to one, the world is too awesome for that!

The most adrenaline pumping thing I've done is jump from the highest commerical bungy tower in the world, twice!!

I've fulfilled my life-long dreams of seeing the pyramids in Egypt, Machu Picchu in Peru and the Darvaza Gas Crater in Turkmenistan.

I was one of the first people to visit Libya independently when they introduced their eVisa.

I've been mesmerised by the beauty of the Croatian coastline but the Albanian coastline is even more amazing.

I've been above the sea of clouds in Taiwan.

I've hiked in the Indian Himalayas.

I've floated down a snake infested river on a tube in Laos.

I've stayed in the slums of Ulaanbatar in Mongolia

I've experienced hospitality at it's finest at a Ramadan 'break fast' meal with an amazingly awesome family in Palestine. I cannot recommend visiting Palestine enough!

I've seen icebergs in the middle of summer in Eastern Canada.

I've seen the glacier in Greenland that produced the icebergs I saw in Canada

I've hiked up an active volcano in Nicaragua, only to speed down the other side on rickety old board.

I've circumnavigated an entire island in the South Pacific and was rewarded with possibly the most awesome views ever.

I've ridden through the desert of Mauritania in a cargo car of one of the world's longest freight trains.

I've experienced West Africa through the eyes of locals, as a solo traveller. Now that was certainly an adventure!

I've hitchhiked along the Silk Road in Kyrgyzstan and experienced the world's most hospitable locals in Uzbekistan.

I've seen mud volcanoes in Azerbaijan.

I visited a snow castle in Northern Finland.

I've been to all the European microstates. I even walked around the walls of the smallest one in less than an hour.

One of the most amazing experiences I've ever had was taking part in a traditional new year celebration when I was an exchange student in Japan.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe that everyone has something to offer, even if it's just another point of view.

I will talk to anyone.

I once spoke to a stranger on a bus for 3 straight hours.
