About Me

Whoops I never got around to updating it, but I’ve moved to San Francisco now, so if you’re in town be sure to say hi!

** unfortunately I’m getting a lot more requests than I can host so if I can’t host you it’s not because I don’t want to! also due to the amount of requests, if you're looking for more than two days, I'll likely decline **

not updated since 2015, but will do soonish for my upcoming trip! will be in iceland, berlin, amsterdam, istanbul, kenya, and london!

From my last trip in 2015:
A little bit more about me. I booked a flight to Alaska for late-July on a whim! I'm hoping to explore, meet some great people, and not be a struggling turtle while I'm there. This will sound cliché but I love being outdoors above all, and I get excited about any activity that involves me moving. I think the idea of playing unfortunately dissolves as people get older, so one of the biggest things about me is I love to play whether it's board games or sports or just made up games, I like them all. Apart from that, I'm currently a rising junior at Stanford (halfway done!) studying computer science so I'll be returning to school at the end of summer, hopefully with a little bit more of alaska with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Essentially anything flat-ish is my bed, preferably under an open sky. What you'll be willing to give I'm almost certain I can make do. I also think it'll be a great way to meet some very cool and open-minded people (aka you), and that's really my biggest wish for my visit.

Interests

Apart from just being outside and playing, I'm a huge fan of languages. I think they show a lot about cultures around the world and can really clear up a lot of misunderstandings we have among different people. They also help so much in creating connections among strangers; if you can speak the same language there's instantly a sense of closeness. Not only that, the sounds themselves that we make through languages are really beautiful.

I'm trying to learn a new one every year so if you're interested in either teaching or learning any together let me know!

Music, Movies, and Books

Not very particular, my eyes and ears will pay attention to just about anything. In other words, your favorite music, movies, and books will be my favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the one amazing thing I've done will reveal itself on this trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm. I guess a teachable skill is slacklining? I think I can pack my slackline. Other than that if you're interested in coding at all we can try to learn some of that together. What else what else, languages for sure. Let's talk! I'm also learning to pick locks but don't have my set - we can nerd over it though.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Pretty much whatever I'll have in my bag is open to sharing. Just what I'll have exactly is tbd.

Am also happy to just help out with anything you might need whether it's just moving things around or building something or whatnot
