Hi Couchsurfers ! My name is Dennis from Munich.
I quit my job and from May 2023 on my partner Teresa and myself are going to travel from Germany to Australia by public transport.

As long as I'm still in Munich, I hope to be able to host some travelers before I get back on the road again myself. (actually did, check out Birtans review, our latest surfer)

As far as time allows me I love to travel here and there to see new places of our beautiful planet. :-) My biggest trip so far was a backpacking tour through south east asia. I can't believe how much I learned during this trip.
Also I enjoyed travelling Sri Lanka last for four weeks. Amazing people! My trip to Lebanon in 2018 year just blew all my expectations.
I got to see Patagonia (Argentina & Chile) in 2023, which certainly is on top of my all time favorite travel experiences so far..

I´m used to camping on festivals, sleeping on friends couches or in a car, so regarding my sleeping circumstances I am very uncomplicated. I´m uncomplicated in general, so no worries that you will have any troubles with me as guest. I also know how to behave... Strange to mention that, but unfortunately a lot of people don´t...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I´ve heard so much about people´s great experiences with couchsurfing. As I am an open and outgoing person who loves meeting new people I figured that this is the right thing for me to try. Also whenever I travel, I am much interested in culture, so having a local by your side, who can show you their home is the best way to explore a culture.
I hope that I´ll get the chance to meet amazing hosts and people :)

Interests

Apart from travelling, I'm into sports. I love football (playing, watching on TV or live), but also handball, tabletennis, swimming, running, volleyball and so on... :) My second big passion is music. I love to go to festivals. I love concerts and jamsession or just listening to new stuff I found on the internet. I also play drums, cajon and sing in bands. We regularly play shows, but it's all just for fun.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing, I'm really proud of:

I created a travel movie about my past travels, using all the footage I had collected. Almost took 3 years of work and countless sleepless nights, but the result is a 2,5 hours collection of memories I'll never forget. Teach, Learn, Share

I always love to learn about local things and habits as much as cultural aspects of countries I visit. I also love languages so I always try to not miss the chance to learn a few words in the particular language.
Also if anybody wants to improve their German (or English/Spanish) I´m more than happy to help here :)
