About Me

** Traveling untill July, unable to receive guests in this time**
If you are sending a host request please read the my home section carefully. We do not live in a 'typical' house or apartment. Some guets have come without reading and expecting something else, and ended up getting a hostel instead. Most ppl realy love the place, please save yourself and me the time, by reading and deciding if this is the experience you are looking for.

I was born in the UK and grew up in New Zealand, but i dont consider myself from anywhere. I am semi nomadic, and live in a van. I have for now a beutifull garden where i spend the cooler months of the year in the south of Spain. I am also a thru hiker, and travel by backpack for 3-4 months of the year, sleeping in hammock and cooking on fire. I have walked the carpathian belt, across the balkan penisular, and the pyranese/cantabrian mountains of northen spain. My next challenge is Morroco's Rif and Atlas montains. Would be very intrested to hear from anyone who has hiked or spend time in these regions.

For me Freedom is a very important thing. It has been scary to witness events over recent years that have taken this away from so many people. I dont know what the future holds, however i think further reductions of personal freedoms and quality of life by global agenda is not unlikely. I belive in honesty and morality and doing the right thing as oppose to following laws and social contructs.

Tho i havent used it so much recenty, discovering this App realy changed my life, and gratefull for it everyday. For me CS is much then a free place to stay, its emabeled me to meet heaps of amazing, like minded and non judgemental people from all over the world, many of which have become long term freinds.

Im definatly a nature/outdoors person and spend most of my time there, i dont particuarly like citys, and dont spend much time there anymore. I dont do clubs, bars, restraunts, cafes. While architecture dosent realy intrest me, i love exploring abandoned, bulidings, factories etc.

I am a keen Dumster Diver, and i souce most of my food this way. Id be glad to share with you this fantasic skill iv learned. I am vegetarian in regaurd to recycled food, and a vegan in other instances.

I dont personaly belive in theories of reincarnation or the afterlife, so im trying to make the most of this one intstead.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was seaching for a dry place to stay after all my gear was soaked during a rainstorm in New Zealand, and someone recomened me this app. I didnt find a host that night, but discovered so much more from this app.

Im probaly the least musicaly minded person you will meet on this app, but i like to listen to it, I dont have a favourite band, genre, atrist or anything like that. You get to be the DJ
Im a bit behind on the mobie scene as i never had a tv, but since the affordability of moblie data in recent years have been enjoying watching tv series. Always open for new suggestions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

99 day traverse of the carpathians. 2300km through 5 countries and many mountain ranges and eviroments, meeting sevral brown bears along the way.
