About Me

Once your demand is accepted please confirm your stay.

Let me say that life is getting more and more like whatever the older I get and every try to get it together only elongates the wished for outcome. I live in the real world and have a skill to surf the world of ideas. I am a really swinging humam being.

Now I am actually Lithuanian and here I found an accurate description someone else wrote and I couldn't do it better.

Lithuanians do not posess strong authentic look typical to only that nation. If you meet Lithuanian person, before he speaks or tells you where he is from, you can never distinguish his/her nationality. Lithuanians may look anything between German, Dutch, Finnish, Polish, Irish or even white American people.

But I can tell you that Lithuanians do not look like: Sebians, Bulgarians, Romanians, Spanish, Italian, Greek or French.

Random exceptions are possible but rare.

Personality wise, Lithuanians rather cold and distant people and I have no idea why some guide books suggest that they are “Spanish of the Baltics”. No nation in Baltics is anything close to Spanish.

Hugging is not common here and accepted only between very, very close friends - even that not always. Kissing on good-byes is absolutely not happening and may freak people out, with exception of people related to you.

Lithuanians do not consider necessary to smile around to strangers, or to show any sort of affection. They are extremely reserved in services and if you like Thailand-style waiters who kiss your hand for tips - forget it, not happening in Lithuania. They will serve you like equal to you, sometimes nearly as a favor. Tipping is not necessary, in some areas even not recommended. There is no comissions in retail either so no1 cares to sell more and be nice to customers.

Together will all that Lithuanians are not aggresive and most of the times not rude, they just natural or indifferent to you.

If you happen to meet them more personally, Lithuanians change.. They start joking, smiling (to you, not to random people) and may even tell them stories of their life.

Lithuanians from the capital city may be snobbier and a more refined than from other areas. This can can be also applied to people from sea coast area and port city.

Second largest city of Kaunas has the most “intellegentia” people of old school, who usually speak pure proper literate Lithuanian language, are true country patriots and a little on nationalist side (not to the point of conflicts, just opinionated).

In contrast to developed countries like Western Europe or USA; Canada, Lithuanian men almost never have long or longer hair… I mean... Practically never. Everyone has super short hairstyles. Even local actors or singers.

People tend to be on a taller side, not many obese people and usually have attractive physical features - both men and especially females.

Lithuanians are obsessed with home interiors and reparing their apartments constantly, it is almost a cult. Country with barely 3 mln population is full (FULL) of furniture and home design shops, even in smaller towns.

Lithuanians love very fat foods including pork lard etc but none of the people in a country is fat... Because natural, not processed fat does not make people fat but this is completely different topic.

Je suis un lithuanian-français citoyen de l'union européenne
