About Me

Hi everybody, I'm Eduard, a content creator who loves to meet new people and share stories.
Whenever there is a new guy at work, I will always talk to them and let them feel welcome to the group.
I'm very open, outgoing and I love to have a good drink in the pub.

I also love to relax, but most of the time I just do things. I go to friends, visit museums, or going to city's last minute. Where, most of the time I bring my bike. Your so free with your bike. You can go anywhere, whenever you like.

One day I hope to travel around the world and work in all kind of countries.

Most important is to smile everyday. There is hate everywhere. Keep things positive and keep going. Give to other people and you will get very much in return.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, to meet new people! I have a great interest in people, so why would you go and book an expensive hotel, when you can couch surf. I can offer you good food and a relaxing, safe and quiet place to sleep.

And for the hosts, well one time I had a hotel in Venice. I was just bored to dead, and I just walked through the city and used Couchsurfing hangouts. It's nice to have your own stuff and privacy, but it's so much more fun to get the local idea. I'm not a fan of the tourist stuff, I want to know how it is there to live and how you are doing your things. If you sleep with others, this is how you get it.

I have a studio, but the place is not very big. One living room area and one bedroom area. You will sleep the nights in the living room. Everybody is welcome, but it's not possible to host you for more then 2 night. Two nights is fine, but more, it's too much for me. I also need to work here and stuff. If you only use it for sleeping, it's ok. I want to chill sometimes, as i'm not that much home everyday. If your with two persons, it's a max of 1 night.

Interests

I love watching movies. I try to watch the whole imdb top 250, but I also like to watch films from all over the world and experience new stuff. Italian movies are one of my favorite. That is why I want to learn Italian.
I don't just say a movie is bad. A director is just doing his job and he want to make it as good as possible. I try to watch it from different perspectives. I also read about film and I collect a lot of movies. Sometimes I try to partecipate in movie pub quizes and I have a cinema subscription. You can ask me anything. As you can say, movies is my life. If you have letterboxd, we should share our profile.

I also love to make films of my own. Not cinema, but documentaries. It's part of my journalism loving. I love to interview people and ask everything about their passion. In contradiction of my film and journalism, I used to write a lot of movie reviews, but it was a long time ago since I wrote my last film review.

For relaxing, I go running in my neighbourhood. I have a very beautifull and nature area. I don't want to do marathons, but just for fun. Just a 3-5km run is so relaxing for your mind and body if you wake up. For the real deal, I go 3 times per week to the gym. Need to keep those muscles up.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite film is Inception. I have like more than 60 favorite movies like Ladri Di Bicyclette, Goodfellas, Blade Runner, The Thing, City Lights, The Wicker Man, Les Parapluies de Cherbourg and La Meglio Gioventù. But if I have to choose it's Inception. Everything is perfect. The direction is amazing, the casting is top notch, the music give me goosebumps, the cinematrogaphy is superb. The story and characters are interesting from start to finish. And you have it watch multiple times. You actually have to think. Most films explain everything and take you by hand. The movie has just everything.

As for music, I love the 60's, 70's and 80's. From jazz, to The Beatles, to Elvis, to kraftwerk, to pop, rock, hardrock and even electro, film music. I have a very diverse taste. I collect vinyl and I love a lot of band. If I have to choose one band it would be Electric Light Orchestra. Their song Mr. Blue Sky makes you so happy. Live is hard sometimes and music can make you feel so much happier. Thats why I like music that is happy and catchy. Sometimes I also like music with good lyrics like Image from John Lenon.
And my electro/synthesizer love came from the film Blade Runner. It's so catchy, I like sounds like that.

As with books, I don't have a favorite. I would like to read more, but it takes to much time. My concentration isn't that good, so with books it's really hard for me. I actually have read all the Harry Potter books, and I loved them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a really hard subject. I have done bungyjumping, but yeah, you pay money and you can do it. At first I really liked the idea, but afterwards, I don't want to do it again.

In recent memory, I have met one of my favorite actors in Amsterdam. It's Kyle Maclaghlan from my favorite series. Maby it sounds a bit weird, but meeting your number one actor is a thrill. I will never forget it.

Also, my month living in Greece was also amazing. I met like 70+ new people, I just walked to people, did amazing stuff. Traveled around, went to Island. Met a lot of Couch Surfers. I just love adventures.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you come to Utrecht I can show you the amazing city I live in. I Know it's a bit narcistic, but I just love my city. It's a hidden gem in the Netherlands. You don't need to be here a week, but a day is fine.
I can teach you how to cook and I would love to tell you about my love for films and why it is so important than just watch a movie for fun. It's so much more. It's a gift.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a nice dinner for you. Just tell me what you like and I want to make it. I also can share stories, i've done so many adventures, i'm almost never home, so I can talk for hours. I can give you advise on stuff and if we will go out in the city, I will buy you a beer. And I want to hear your stories as wel.

I will also bring you a nice suprise from my country. I can't say you what, because it's a suprise.
