About Me

2022 II: I mean to stay uninfected (so far have not caught Covid 2019-2022).
"Having a concern/? about your viral status but taking a risk" is not an option if hoping to be hosted...
IF YOU'RE RECENTLY TESTED IT'S LIKELY I MAY HOST YOU :-).
If you'll be attending crowded events while staying or right before arrival then the chance I'll host you is nix.
I have extra surgical masks but from what I've gathered using a KN95 / FFP2 grade mask is just barely providing the minimum of safety you'd need to block aerosolised viral load such as in public transport and populated spaces.
This is in regards to Covid+Omicron strains and also Monkeypox which seem both to have demonstrated spread without droplet involvement; ie. aerosolised viral spread such as via air conditioning flow of a building in stationary patients separated by wards across multiple floors.
Sounds like it's better to wear an N95 grade mask; at minimum KN95/FFP2 for safety and to definitely still mask and be careful when travelling, when in public transport or crowded places, than to take chances.
Risking (re)infection (incl. breakthrough) and potentially getting Long Covid sounds like pretty permanent chronic illness / disability.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I post this wall of text, quotes, links because I'd prefer everyone in society knows about the lack of prevention policy (responsibility) from official positions and I'd recommend the "What happened in Sweden" The Death Panel episode w/ David Steadson (Karolinska) for an entry-point as well as following Dr Eric Feigl-Ding, Dr David Berger and David Steadson and their critique of policy.
"Sweden is no longer even testing *hospitalised* patients with Covid symptoms for Covid."

Interests

The Swedish official eugenicist approach to the Covid pandemic is in my mind in category with neo-nazi trends across Europe and the west in psychology at the least; ableist violence.
This info should be publicly known but is poorly if at all (we have to waste our own time getting it as legacy media is... slow at best, complicit at worst).
I believe you have to spend some time and educate yourselves further but merely on this topic; especially on Long Covid.
I do wish the life and outlooks I had decades past back and I do have interests but I'd rather surfers do the reading work if relatively carefree and travelling for recreation, and if not, if living with an intersectionality of disabilities, problems or concerns this couch is on the second floor with no elevator, in a safe apartment (very fortified door for some reason) and in probably the calmest area of Gothenburg.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've suffered burnout syndrome since 2008; Long Covid is said to mimick CFS, POTS, proven neuro-damage...
The climate crisis is already a mass-disabling event and the intersectionality w/ other crises is serious in a way that I hope people will come to appreciate as something long-term; systemic, no fluke, and not about to go away:
"Your facility is right under the path of wild migrating birds--we could have predicted this would happen again and you failed to stockpile the supplies needed to kill your birds using AVMA preferred methods."
