I like to learn about other cultures and languages. Hosting is a great way to help out travellers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pink Floyd, Queen, Jean-Michel Jarre, Beatles, New

Films: I like science fiction and anything with a good story. Ghostbusters and The Shawshank Redemption are high on my list.

Books: I mostly read non-fiction, but I do like a good story. Interview with the Vampire was good (almost preternaturally good :) ).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2022 I took a month off work and travelled through East Africa, using local buses to get between cities. People were so friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. I miss egg rolls and rolex!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a qualified English teacher, so I am happy to help you with your English skills if you want.

I work in IT, so I am always happy to swap stories of how computer systems can muck things up.

I love science, so I am always happy to talk about that.

Cooking and learning new recipes is always of interest to me. I am happy to share food if I am cooking something.

I understand that some people have limits on how sociable they can be. I am the same. If you need some time alone, I am happy to respect that.
