2015-2016 was a blast! It was a roller-coaster ride.
I got into photography, and I made lot's of friends along my journey in honing my skills. It also gave me a pair of brand new eyes. (I appreciate colors now). It also alow me to enjoy new things like staying up all night gazing at the stars in my tent by the beach(and getting biten by random insects in the process).

To make the long story short, I like taking pictures and camping in high places or by the beach. :p

Hi! Ivan here, from the province of Bulacan. I started my quest 2nd quarter of 2015. I used to be a robot, doing the same thing day after day, until I met some awesome people from couch surfing. They helped me start re-learning how to human. I learned from them that adventure is happening everywhere, that there is life out there. That travels doesn't have to cost a fortune. All you have to do is seek! And you'll find it. ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

2018:
CS has been a great mind opener for me. The people I met since I started this has a huge influence in my life. I want to keep opening doors and learn more specialy from people who's living the lives I dreamed of. I know there's more to life than than what I'm experiencing now and I want to take a "glorius bite of the whole world".

Prior to 2018:
To promote peace, love and happiness. But most of the time I lack the energy, will and motivation to do that. So on those "times", I'm settling to "to meet new friends". :)

Interests

Anything related to adventures.
Photography (Scenic views and toy photography).
I do treasure hunting too! ;) (Geocaching)
Gundams (huge robots/mecha in case you don't know)
Competitive Pokémon Battles(VGC).

Music:
Any music is awesome! But when travelling,I would like to hear what locals listen to.

Big Hero 6 (I'm trying to look for it's prequel 1~5, if you know where can I grab a copy, send me a mail lol)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not just one, I'm a rebel :p
- Climb my first 2 mountains in Bulacan and climb my third in Batangas, this all happen within 24 hours (plus lots of other stuff within that 24 hour, like spelunking, bathing in a river and in the sea, snorkeling, beach bumming and camping.)
- Run on the pilapil of Hapao rice terraces.
- Spend the night in a real Ifugao hut.
- Holds the record for being the tallest man in the Philippines on the day of August 15, 2015, standing 6 + 9,692 ft.
- Embarked on my first "legit" solo backpacking in south east Luzon
- Beat the awesomeness of my first solo backpacking by my second one in north west Luzon(December 2015)
- Fulfilled my dream of backpacking for a month in southern part of Philippines.
(December 2016)
- Survived an spontaneous solo trip to the suburbs of Abra province and debunk the generalize idea that It's not a safe to go there(Probably some parts are, but not all).
- Got top 16(Ranked 10) in Malaysia Pokemon Video game regional championship

I want to learn how to swim.
I want to teach/share something that has practical use in our daily lives, but I'm yet to discover it. So if you happen to meet me and find some of my skills useful and share worthy, please point it out and let me know. :)
