Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Porque se me hace una manera interesante de viajar y conocer personas y lugares nuevos.

Interests

En general me gustan muchas cosas. Por mi profesión lo que más me interesa es la música, no soy quisquilloso en ese sentido, creo que lo único que no me gusta en ese ámbito es el reggaeton ni la música de banda.

Me gustan los deportes extremos (verlos) aunque realmente no los he practicado.

Soy un gran fanático del cine, voy varias veces a la semana (si la cartelera es buena), no tengo un genero favorito, veo desde cine hollywoodense de lo mas comercial hasta buenas películas independientes.

Me gustan las actividades al aire libre como caminar, andar en bicicleta o correr.

In general I like a lot of things. Because of my career my main interest is music but I'm an open person in that matter, I like almost all kind of music except reggaeton and banda.

I like extreme sports (just watch haha).

I love cinema, I like to go several times a week if there are a good offer of movies. I don't have a favorite genre for movies, I like both hollywood movies and independent films.

I like outdoor activities like walking, biking or running.

Music, Movies, and Books

En cuanto a la música aunque escucho casi de todo, me decanto más por el rock, especialmente por el rock en español, de hecho soy solista y ya tengo un disco editado y estoy preparando uno nuevo para 2018.

Escucho mucho rock independiente porque es el circulo donde me muevo, pero obviamente me gustan las grandes bandas de Latinoamérica e internacionales como: Maná, Caifanes, Café Tacuba, Zoé, Porter, La Maldita Vecindad, Fobia, Babasónicos, La Ley, Los Tres, Soda Stereo, Fito Páez, Los Bunkers, Aterciopelados, Los Doors, Los Beatles, Guns N Roses, Chuck Berry, Nirvana, Radiohead, Queen, The Cure, entre muchos otros.

En cuanto a películas como lo dije en el punto anterior no tengo como un género preferido particularmente, pero si hay películas que no me canso de ver como las de la saga de Star Wars o la saga de Batman de Cristopher Nolan. Me gusta el cine de terror aunque ya tiene años que no veo una buena cinta del género, me gustan las películas históricas, algunas muy contadas del cine mexicano, en general soy bastante abierto en ese sentido, mientras la película sea buena no me fijo tanto en el género que sea.

Respecto a los libros leo también de todo, he leído desde Drácula de Bram Stoker hasta Farenheit 451, pero le tengo un cariño muy especial a la novela latinoamericana, autores como Juan Rulfo, Vargas Llosa, García Márquez, también me gustan autores como García Lorca, en cuanto a autores no hispanohablantes me gustan Ernest Hemingway, Agatha Christie y Oscar Wilde.

In the matter of music I listen almost everything, but I have a preference for rock music, especially rock in spanish, latin rock and indie. As a matter of fact I'm a solo singer and I already have and edited record and I'm preparing a new one for 2018.

In the matter of movies as I said previously I can't a favorite genre, but there's some movies that I can watch over and over again like the Star Wars saga or the Batman trilogy of Christopher Nolan. I also like horror movies but I there's no good ones this days, I also like historical movies and some mexican movies from directors like Cuarón, Del Toro o Iñarritu, I'm pretty open with movies in general, if the movie is good I don't care the genre.

I listen a lot of latin indie rock because it is what I do for living, but I also like the legendary latin american rock bands and other internationals like Maná, Caifanes, Café Tacuba, Zoé, Porter, La Maldita Vecindad, Fobia, Babasónicos, La Ley, Los Tres, Soda Stereo, Fito Páez, Los Bunkers, Aterciopelados, The Doors, The Beatles, Guns N Roses, Chuck Berry, Nirvana, Radiohead, Queen, The Cure, and so many others.

In the matter of books I like to read almost every literary genre, from Dracula to Farenheit 451, but I especially love latin american novel and authors like Juan Rulfo, Vargas Llosa, García Márquez and the spaniard García Lorca, I also like non hispanic authors like Ernest Hemingway, Agatha Christie and Oscar Wilde.

La primera vez que utilicé Couchsurfing para conocer Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, conocí gente muy buena onda, desde mi anfitrión hasta los otros surfers con quienes conviví.

Puedo enseñar música y algunas pisadas en la guitarra.

Si eres latino te puedo enseñar algunos modismos del lenguaje que se escuchan mucho acá en México. Si te interesa la historia de mi país también te puedo platicar algo de ello.

Si eres de un país no hispanoparlante te puedo enseñar un poco de español o si ya sabes algo te ayudo a practicarlo con mucho gusto.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A los anfitriones materialmente nada pues mis recursos generalmente son muy limitados, pero puedo colaborar con actividades de limpieza del lugar donde me den hospedaje, si gustan probar algo de mi país con gusto puedo cocinar algo, y bueno, en mí encontrarás un gran amigo.

A mis huéspedes les puedo ofrecer agua caliente y un lugar cómodo donde dormir, wi-fi y si necesitas un guía por la ciudad cuenta conmigo.

Si no hablas español escríbeme en inglés y te contesto.

To my hosts and cannot offer anything material because my resources are limited but I can help cleaning and if you want to eat something typical of my country I gladly cook something mexican for you, and of course I offer you the most valuable thing, my friendship.

To my guests I can offer hot water and a nice place to rest, wi-fi, and if you need a partner to hang out and know the city count with me.
