About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Heading to Bonavista, Newfoundland for an art project.

ABOUT ME

I'm originally from the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I moved to Canada more than five years ago with the excuse of learning English and been around since then.

I'm a curious, creative, quiet, easy going and a low key type of person. As long as I have time to draw or put my thoughts in my sketchbooks I feel ok.

I used to live in Vancouver (didn't like it there at all) but hitched across the country until I got to Newfoundland, where I've been (on and off) until now.

Besides drawing, I enjoy hiking (I volunteered for the WCWC in BC and worked for the East Coast Trail Assoc in NL), love music and conversations.

About my work as an artist and current project:
I'm a professional graphic artist and I use daily life situations as inspiration. I'm currently travelling with my girlfriend Jackie is super talented and professional filmmaker (https://www.couchsurfing.org/people/jackie.hynes/). She's pretty new to the community but has had her first experiences in Halifax NS and loved it so far.

This trip is the excuse to develop a graphic journal while hitchhiking from Newfoundland to Argentina

I know it's really ambitious so please send me a message if you feel you can give us a hand. So far we are planning to stay in New York city and Mexico DF for a while.

Sincerely we are open to new destinations. We enjoy big cities, small towns, countryside, mountains. Beautiful landscapes is not the main purpose of the trip but to experience the world through its people so we are open to house-pet sit or volunteer in different projects.

Just send us a message and we can talk from there.

(I should add a link with work in progress images)

Regarding couchrequests: We're more than ok to sleep on the floor or camp in your backyard. We carry mats, sleeping bags and a tent so we're not picky at all.

PHILOSOPHY

Keep it simple.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I loved the idea since the beginning. Donated money and hosted lots of people in St John's NL while had a space to share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed all over Canada and the US. In general, hosts had extra rooms so I feel kinda spoiled that way.

I always carry my inflatable mat, sleeping bag and tent so many other possibilities are available. (Backyard camping is fun).

Looking forward to surf in the states and southamerica this year.

Interests

I'm always looking for things that would help me to keep the creativity flame going. Sources could be many, but in general people, books, films, places and another people's work seem to do the trick.

I know it's obvious but when I'm lost, I lread biographies or watch docummentaries of people I admire. It usually helps for motivation.

Swimming and hiking are sports that I've been enjoying a lot lately.

Traveling/living in diferent places it's been one of the best schools ever.
