About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Taking care of the portion of Planet I live in and some more even. I also try to be a good funny responsible mummy for Filippo and Cosimo, my boys. I love to learn: everything all my life long.

ABOUT ME

I love, therefore I am able, to listen. My friends -which are normally much more generous with me than I would :)- say I am enthusiastic and caring.
I have strong roots in the ground, as plants I love, but my leaves are always trying to reach the sky, even against my will...

PHILOSOPHY

I try to be light on this Earth and hope my footsteps draw a good path.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In some periods I have the opportunity to host people on my couch in the living room. Otherwise if you are near Valdambra (a beautiful country area between Siena and Arezzo) we can spend some time together in La Fonte (which is the nice farmhouse where I live) or we can have a walk together on the hills here around.
I also like the idea of connecting with people outside of the "market/money/business" circuit... being a traveller not a tourist.

Interests

The thing in life I love the most are people and people I love the most are children: that is why I work with them feeling it as a privilege instead of a job.
I love nature and of course I am involved with sustainability.
That is why I left the city of Florence to move to magnificent Tuscany countryside: my house and the land I care for are now part of me.
La Fonte is an enchanted place with some power to attract special people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: "Little miss sunshine"; "Eyes wide shut"; "The tree of life"; "Harold and Maude"; "Into the wild"; "Metropolis"... Also movies by Jaques Tati, Allen, the Dardenne brothers...
Music: I cannot think about a type of music that I do not like: it depends on the moment, the season, the mood I am in... all good music!
Books: all books of Nick Hornby are a therapy for me! I love also "L'uomo che piantava gli alberi" di Giono, "La rivoluzione del filo di paglia" and "La rivoluzione dell'uomo di dio e della natura" by Masanobu Fukuoka and essays about sustainability and permaculture.
I am also fond of British literature of 19th century.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sleeping outside under billions of stars.
Smelling just made warm homebread.
The short precious time in the evening when it is not dark yet but lights are on already on the hills.
Hugs from friends always make me cry.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can home make (and teach how to) traditional tuscan bread and soap (for body, for clothes and dishwasher too!) with natural ingredients.
I like sharing meditation as vibes and energy grow the more we are...
I can make "brandamaglia" (tubular knitting) and teach some of the languages I know.
Ah, I can play with Chinese hat... if you want to work in a circus!
I want to learn anything you have the patience to teach me :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make bread for you. I can speak english or french for mutual practice. I can do Falun Dafa exercise with you.
I can tell you tales...
