About Me

I live in Bordeaux (France) for 4 years, with my boyfriend Simon who I travel with.
I am a building engineer but would prefer to be surrounded by nature and plants instead of conflits and planning problems. I've made some poor choice of carreer. Sometime I'll need to change it, but for now I keep procrastinating.
As a classic human being, I love hanging out with friends, bars are best, a slackline in a park is also great. A whole night party is not my kind, I'm too old for that shit and my body disagrees. That's sad.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm in Couchsurfing because I used it for first time just before Covid in 2020, to go to Spain and then Peru for a 3-month trip, and that was the best way to travel I even experienced.
I met incredible people, who made me discover the country and travel in a way that I wouldn't have experienced in another way.
What is the point of a 4-star-spa-swimming-pool-all-inclusive holidays center when you can sleep on a too short sofa and spend a wonderful time with your hote? I can't get it.

Interests

Travelling of course!! That's so mainstream, but aren't we all in Couchsurfing? Being out of your confort zone, discovering another cultures and ways of life, that's sometimes scary and always worth it.
I also love trekking, we often organise treks in week-ends and holidays.
I like sports in general, and all activities that need some skills and that can keep me occupied a whole day to be able to manage it a little.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Trip hop, Electro, Dub, Frenchcore, World music, listening to a traditional playlist music and trying to find which country it's from
Books: so many!! You should try La horde du contrevent, from Alain Damasio, if it has ever been traduced. Dystopias (animal's farm, from George Orwell), travel novels (Ella Maillard is my hero), journalists novels (Svetlana Alexievitch),...
Movies: not so many, evenings are too shorts for a 2-hours movie

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With a Couchsurfer, I travelled on the top of a truck full of stones to join an isolated village.
With another one, I ate in one of the best restaurants in the world!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can offer a place to sleep, first of all.
During weeks, we are working so we don't have much time to share. It can be a drink outside or a meal inside !
During week-ends, most of the time we're not in town...

Countries I’ve Visited

Chile, Cuba, Norway, Peru, Spain, United States
