About Me

My name is Lynette and I am an online English tutor of all ages and from all over the world. I love people and am passionate about teaching just about anything people want to learn. I believe that learning another language is stressful for many - that is why I design my sessions with lots of fun-filled conversations.
Because of my experience of tutoring online, I have met many awesome people. Travelling has now become a new hobby. I have travelled to Portugeuse Island (Mozambique) - Sea Cruise. Visited Egypt, New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam, Turkey and Brazil and intend visiting many more countries to meet some of the awesome students I have met online. I want to visit Japan, Philippines and Korea. Then Finland, Praque and Germany . No specific order but on my bucket list

I have a few friends locally, but I have realised now that meeting foreigners is much more interesting and fulfilling. I am a 'young at heart' single woman with a drive for fun and meeting new people. I love life, enjoy music , good food, live music shows. I love to dance to all types of music

I love fashion, jewellery (some self made) and also enjoy creating beautiful pieces of arts and crafts. My life is fairly balanced - meditation and spiritual matters are important, love the outdoors and the night life.

Presently enjoying the freedom of working online at my leisure, and I can travel much more as well. Looking forward to meeting many new like minded people through my travels.

Music, Movies, and Books

Self empowerment and development. books and documentaries.
I am inspired by books which gives one hope and courage to take steps towards healing after challenges. Paula White (Deal with It, Grow Rich while Sleeping -Ben Sweetland, Louise Hay, John Kehoe. Oprah Whinfrey, and Rumi's poetry)
I also love reading spiritual stories written by the various Masters - as a I am very opened minded to all religions.
I love jazz and and R &B'. I love to dance so always looking for the perfect partner to from waltz to ballroom music), always willing to learn new dance steps.

I enjoy movies that related to real life situations especially those movies which embrace women overcoming abuse , exploitation and other offences. I believe in girl power.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing Mt Sinai - what an achievement.
Visiting Turkey and Vietnam alone - I survived in a these 2 countries where language barrier was a major challenge - I was lost in a market in Izmir for almost 2 hours and finally found my out... :-)
Vietnam - couldnt find my hotel almost 3 hours....hilarious.......the .when the taxi arrived to take me to hotel I realised I was 2 blocks away from the place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I m passionate about teaching, so tutoring online has earned me more friends/students that I could have imagined. The excitement and gratitude shown by students who I interact with on a daily basis, gives me so much joy. I embrace every single day that I log onto my teaching platform. I also enjoy teaching others my creative skills and enjoy learning new ideas from others.

I have decided to learn Brazilian Portugeuse, because I have met many students from Brazil who are interested in learning English online and are very shy. So I want to be able to break that barrier and encourage a relaxed dialogue by communicating in their native language.

Sharing my life's journey with other women has helped me to realise that there is so much more to life than holding on the past and all its failures and challenges, which I believe makes a person stronger and fearless!
