Love to travel. A lot. I am addicted... But I dont like the "regular" tourist paths, I wanna see more, feel the country, meet the people. Did some 120km off-civilization hike in Norway, visited places in Hong Kong where people rarely have seen tourists before, climbed a mountian in Japan during a snowstorm to see an ancient mountian temple together with a host from Fukuoka. Couchsurfed in Iqaluit. The stories you tell happen where you dont expect them to happen, and certainly not in overcrowded museums or tourist attractions. And that is what I love about traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the sharing economy and I recon just how much staying with locals adds to traveling. Having the opportunity to see someone's house, hear their storys and share their food is such a great opportunity - that's why.

I would really like to help any likeminded traveler so feel free if you need help with something, or are in need of a bed on very short notice, etc... I will do my best to accommodate or help you out.

I am a spontaneuous person and I do a lot of things, so I dont like commiting on requests further than a few days in the future. I only want to host when I am in the mood for it, I want to have time for my guests and share joy and laughter, please understand that I'll most likely deny requests for longer stays or stays more than a couple of days in the future.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stood on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, crossed 120km of wilderness north of the polar circle by foot. Went to Iqaluit for 25h and had a party with our couchsurfing host. A lot of little things I have fond memories of, too... :)

Worked in different Bars and Irish Pubs, I know how to pour a beer or mix a proper Cuba Libre.

I'm pretty much a crack on everything related to aviation. Including how to find the cheapest flight ticket to basically anywhere. Love to be your personal travel agent ;). And, of course, I can definitly tell you a little bit about drinks, and especially beer (Hey, I'm German =D ).
