Hi! I grew up in Auckland, New Zealand. I went to engineering school and worked for 4 years as an engineer for New Zealand's largest company. Then my life got very interesting...
I quit my job, sold my things and moved to Europe (my family is from the Netherlands).
I spent 2 years backpacking mostly around Europe,
then lived in the Netherlands for 4 years - working as a bartender on the beach for a summer, and then as an outdoor guide in Sweden/Norway/Finland for 4 years.
During Corona-times I studied a Master in Renewable Energy in England/Netherlands/Germany
After graduating I moved to Germany to work as a Project Engineer in Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology in this cool little corner of the country called "Pfalz", in the city of Landau.

What do I love to do? I love the outdoors. I love to run (trail running is awesome!). I love cross country skiing in winter. I love to travel by bicycle - I own 2 bicycles (+ one more still in New Zealand)! I use them to ride wherever I can: to work, to friends, to explore, for fun, whenever and wherever!

Another thing that I LOVE: to travel and explore! People, cultures (food!), nature, history... The stuff you experience, the things you see, and especially the people you meet are what make travelling AMAZING! :)

I don't watch movies all that much, but enjoy them. When a sequel is released I usually rent out the original movie and watch it with my friends the night before. Great fun!
I am a big fan of electronic music, I started with trance (Armin van Buuren and a State of Trance!) and now I really like melodic Techno and House music. Biggest DJs on my playlist now: Yotto, Marsh, Khen, Jeremy Olander, MOLO. I also like rock music from the 80s. Bon Jovi is the best music for a road trip! Otherwise I am ok with listening to modern pop music, but not for too long..!
Books: I like action/thriller novels. I'm trying to read the entire series of Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child. And right now I'm reading in German to improve my language skills in this language

Only two or three moments to choose? There have been so many! But most of the time it was spontaneous, and usually with locals - unexpected awesome moments

I approach everything with 2 words:
ENTHUSIASM and an OPEN MIND (ok maybe that was 3 words...). Everyone has something valuable to share and learn from, and I love to share my thoughts and experiences too. I have a positive approach to life and don't really ever feel down. I keep fit and that helps me with great energy levels (you're planning to go out on Thursday, Friday, AND Saturday nights? Count me in!). I don't need much sleep! Meeting others really excites me, and I love to meet people that feel the same.
