Hello, Im Maria from Jakarta indonesia now staying in Melbourne Australia.

A bit about my love, Bae, she is a bit shy if she just met someone but the more she talk to you she will be more talkative and u will hear her dry humour more often, lol!
She used to work in many different field, travel agency, health and fitness field, pharmacy and also the same as me, she spent most of her time in Hospitality.
Now she is in Pharmacy and health and fitness, and she enjoyed it very much.
She always been in love with Japan, the culture, the food, the language (shes learning it for so long on n off), the people, and when we actually decided that we are going to Japan again this year, she is super excited! ^-^

When we travel, we love to do it longer, to learn and understand more, that's why most of the time we will go for a month and will go to different city, trying their food, talking to the people we meet along the way and not to forget to go to at least 1 museum, usually the biggest one, as through museum we could learn more about their culture.

I used to study Chinese language for a year in Beijing (Tsinghua University) even though I almost forgot everything now but I always remember all the sweet memories i made there and I miss it dearly, especially when it's winter and it was super cold and my nose was frozen, I always bought steamed corn or sweet potatoes just to warm my hand 😂

On 2017 I went to Japan with my love and spent a month there, we went to osaka, kyoto, tokyo, kobe, nara, nagoya, ise, yokohama, and kanazawa, all of these places amazed me so much that I wanna go back and explore more, which we will this December, with of course China, for the first time ill be using couchsurfing and I couldn't be more excited!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wanna enggage more with the locals when I travel, to learn more about their culture, listening to their stories, learn how to cook local home cooking, and also to understand more about their life experiences basically, and when I'm hosting, I hope I can be a great host not only providing a place to stay for you but leave a great impression, i used to be airbnb host before and got 60+ great reviews and no bad review, im positive that i can do it! and hopefully someday i will be able to visit all the guest that visited my place before! 😁
