Overview
About Me
I work at a university during the week and a local brewery-distillery on the weekends. I've accepted that my tendency is to waste money or brain cells when I have too much free time, so I stay busy otherwise at the bowling alley, bouldering gym, and yoga studio. I also try to watch 200+ movies a year.
I've lived in the Atlanta area for 13 years and feel like I've finally carved out a healthy niche. I'm no expert re the hot spots in the ritzier parts of town (Midtown, Buckhead, etc.) but have plenty of recommendations when it comes to pizza, tacos, and local beer; Decatur is the area I know best, and my house is 1 mile from the Avondale Estates MARTA train/bus station.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I stay sane by spending as much time outside of the US as I can. Cheap flights come around frequently enough, but then housing like airbnb usually doubles the cost of travel. I pack light; my tastes are spartan and my needs are basic. So I joined CS recently, looking for experiences within a community of likeminded travelers, rather than using services oriented toward making money off of them.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to everything but Christian music (had too much forced on me as a child); prefer challenging and provocative films; and really only read philosophy, poetry, and non-fiction.
