I'm Merel, a student living in Nijmegen.

I am a 19 year old woman who is studying to become a primary school teacher. I used to live in Amsterdam, but now i have moved to Nijmegen and it will be the start of another adventure.

I like everything outside and everything creative.
I find it important to be kind and accepting to eachother and to take care of the earth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Past travels:
Prague, Rome, Napels, Milan, lot of city's in Germany (Berlin, München, Hamburg etc).
Yearly i go hiking and skiing in the austrian mountains. It feels like home.

Epic train ride with my sister: Amsterdam-Prague-Budapest-Rijeka-Pula-Venetia-Milan-Barcelona-Getaria-Bayonne-Paris and back home. A month of travelling, 7 country's and a lot of fun. Meeting people, taking random busses, booking hostels last minute when we couldn't find hosts, stranding in the middle of nowhere where no one speaks English, not having the right currency, swimming under moonlight, abandoned fortresses and military areas, jumping off a cliff into the sea, emty beach at hours walking from everywhere at sunset with someone we just met hours before, being tired to the bone, 15+ hour long train journeys, and finally falling asleep under the Eiffel Tower.

Planned travels:
Someday i want to try solo thru-(mountain)hiking, with a tent, shoes, and my thoughts.
