About Me

I’m usually out of town for work but might be able to host whenever I’m in the city. If you’d like me to host, please tell me a bit about what you’re interested in seeing when you visit.

I'm a very easy going person and love to learn new things. Obviously, I love traveling but that’s probably everyone on CS. I recently traveled around the world (15 countries in 40 days) and met really amazing people from all walks of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on couchsurfing as an opportunity to see the different places I visit not just as a tourist but also from local people’s perspective. As Mark Twain said “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness…” so more than anything else, what I’m really looking for on CS is to find people that give me an opportunity to grow into a better informed and even more open-minded person🙂

Interests

I like reading nonfiction books like biographies/history. Enjoy photography, road trips, intellectual conversations where I learn new things

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Coldplay, John Mayer, the Temptations, country, hip hop and anything that makes me sing along. I love to listen to music from all over the world, love Spanish, Arabic, Bollywood and some Korean songs.

Movies: Forrest Gump, Enemy at the Gates, Something About Mary

Books: Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Landed a (small) plane on an extremely short runway

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can help you improve or practice your English (if that is what you’re interested in).

Learn: I want to host or travel like a student and not a tourist. I want to learn about different cultures, cuisines and simple day to day life in the places I visit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you need to practice your English skills, I can help with that. I’m a random history “fun facts” kinda guy lol. So I can tell you a little bit about a lot of stuff! Gathering some interesting stories from my travels around the world, maybe you’d be interested in that?

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Bahrain, Canada, United States
