ABOUT ME

I’m an open-minded, easy going person with a naturally positive outlook on life.

Spent my first 30 years training to be the best athlete I could be (playing soccer, training for triathlons), and now I spend most of my free time exploring the world while dancing salsa / bachata (easily one of the coolest skills I've stumbled upon and it pairs really well with international travel).

If you're looking to keep life stress and drama-free, while having a good time then we'll get along.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined the CouchSurfing community about a month before my first trip to Brazil and I am sooo glad I did. I was able to attend one of their weekly meetups (seemed like 200+ people) and everyone was extremely welcoming, nice, and ready to have a good time. Of course with so many people from so many different countries, I quickly realized that I need to learn another language (stupid Americans haha).

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies/TV:
Action and comedy are always good, and since I'm an engineer it's only natural for me to watch a little anime too (don't hate).

Music:
Music is great because no matter your mood or the situation, there is always a complementary sound!

I grew up with a large dose of R&B (Boyz II Men, Usher, Blackstreet, Luther Vandross) and Michael Jackson, but over the years I've developed an appreciation for many different forms: hip-hop, jazz, reggae, salsa, anything instrumental ... they've all got their time and place.

Books:
I read to learn!! So anything about life, science, philosophy, politics, people is cool with me ... everything else just needs to be made into a movie (if it's good enough haha).
