About Me

CURRENT MISSION

2011 years of evolution and apart from the disproportionate growth/progress we've made in the last 100 years or so we have to admit we've made a real hash of things. We've got to start over and re-educate our selves in better ways to help each other and t

ABOUT ME

Sense of fun/of the ridiculous, resourceful,zany/mad. Restless sometimes spontaneous.

PHILOSOPHY

How do you live your life? I try to have life "on my own terms." Usually engaged in some sort of creative endeavour.  So you must live your own life, even if it makes you "a little" unpopular. So many end up living "lives of quiet desperation." Life is one mighty paradox, by the time you've made sense of it, it can be too late to change. Lots of rubbish sayings, sentiments and advice out there. (Except for the wisdom of Oscar Wilde of course..!) There is no one book for each and every indivdual so try and have the courage of your convictions trust your "gut" and remember that "fortune favours the brave." If you can, try and share your life experience with others - we all need advice from someone who has been there/done that. Give talks at schools about basic skills, surviving bullying, depression, suicide etc. Get the emotional intelligence message out there..." We have made hardly any progress as "beings" with regard to mental health apart from some clumsy fumbling with electro-convulsive-therapy and medication.

What do you like to watch, read, and listen to? Channel 4 documentaries, music television, black white (silent) movies, especially from the inter-war period. Antiques road show/flog it, home restoration, car/motor-cycle overhaul etc. U.k. Gold shows. Most music from classical to 80's pop. Reading mainly Sunday supplements, surfing the net etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Share a story of something that really struck you On two occasions I held the hand of someone who had overdosed and was having their stomach pumped. How fragile we are... Saved a woman from being assaulted and got my jaw broken in the process. Campaigned to have an old building spared the demolition ball and won.

Teach, Learn, Share
