About Me

I was born and have lived almost my entire life in São Paulo, Brazil. In addition to my parents, I always shared the house with my older brother and one or more dogs. Despite being the youngest daughter, I've always been very responsible and my parents trust me with everything... In fact, that’s whyI'm going to start my backpacking trip with just a one-way ticket!

I have a degree in chemistry and I love science: understanding how the brain and the universe work is my destiny! Nowadays I’m working with project management and digital marketing. I am extremely passionate about living, getting to know people and stories, understanding cultures and being fascinated by what spirituality and nature can teach us. That's why I changed my profession so I could travel the world!

I’m very communicative, I believe that listening to others is an amazing way to transform yourself. If you like to chat about various topics such as simple things in life or even black holes, we’ll definitely be friends.

What I love to do: hiking, being in nature, yoga, dancing, exercising, reading and drinking coffee in good company!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I knew CS through a course that I took when I started preparing to travel. I’m here to meet people who have a similar purpose to mine or who can exchange teachings, stories and experiences. Also, finding special hosts around the world who can host me temporarily (:

The thing I value most in my life is true connections and many of the few I made were with people like the ones we can find here! Making new friends is always a gift to me, it makes me feel alive! If we are not here to connect with each other, what are we here for?

Music, Movies, and Books

I like different types of music, but nowadays I listen more to rap, pop and electronic. One of my favorites rappers is Cuban. I like discovering new styles of music, especially when I'm involved in local culture, along with dances or festivals.

Reading is one of the hobbies I like to do alone, in the middle of nature or with a cup of coffee. I have read many books about personal development, spirituality, mysteries and some romance novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- When I was dissatisfied with many topics of life and I realized that I don't want to follow the same patterns and rules that society imposes, I radically changed my life and my focus. I resigned and left my academic training aside, I started working in areas I never imagined, and started preparing to travel the world. Now I'm here at CS ready to meet many of you and exchange experiences and good stories.
- I lived in another city for 4 years during my graduation. I shared a house with 13 other people, it was amazing for my personal development but after 2 years I needed more privacy so I went to live in an apartment smaller than my room in my parents' house (I miss it to this day!) .

- I traveled to Germany for one month, alone when I had just turned 15. (Here in Brazil, the 15th birthday is always celebrated with a huge party, changing dresses and waltzes. A trip is much better than a party, isn't it?)

Teach, Learn, Share

I really like sharing knowledge, whatever you want to teach me, I’ll probably want to know a little about it (especially if it is something that makes your eyes shine).

I can teach languages such as Portuguese and Spanish, in addition to exchanging the knowledge I have about chemistry and neuroscience.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share information about my culture, my language and some topics that I know! Plus, I love to cook and talk. It would be a pleasure to cook one of my favorite foods: risotto or pea burger (I've been vegetarian for 6 years, but I have no problem with people who still eat meat).
