About Me

I love traveling, sometimes I prefer the journey to the actual destination. I like to admire the nature in all its shapes to the point that I really feel part of it, and I suffer for what humans are doing to it. I believe I haven't seen anything yet, even if I traveled all Europe (which I adore by the way).

I also love progress and technology. I like to discuss about politics and the future of society.

Through CS I want to get to know different cultures and people. I love diversity and hate conformism. I love spending time both in company and with myself, therefore I don't mind traveling alone.

When surfing, I like to be really dynamic and explore the place thoroughly, better if with my host. When hosting, I like to get to know my guest and spend time with them as much as I can, and show London around.

More about my profession and passions:

I'm a professional musician/songwriter, composer, and music teacher.
My passion? Writing music!

PHILOSOPHY

I think we are all one and it's time we understand that only cooperation and mutual help, instead of competition and war, can save us from destroying ourselves and the environment.
Sharing resources and the complete abandonment of money can be the way forward, as Zeitgeist movement suggests. Another way can be the assurance of an unconditional income for everybody on Earth as Federico Pistono and his fantastic book "Robots will steal your job, but that's okay" suggests... watch on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYIfeZcXA9U

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people, understanding new cultures, giving a chance to others to see London and hang out together.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I find CS just great!!!

I don't host for more than 3 nights and I give priority to people with references.

I don't reply to people that didn't write anything on their own profile/ description. I usually host one person at a time, and don't host mother/father and son/daughter, so please don't ask.

Interests

Music, theater, films, concerts, festivals, good company, traveling!

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a hard section.
My favorite movie is probably the Sergio Leone's masterpiece: Once upon a time in America.
Lately I watched an independent movie which struck me for its realism, power, simplicity, poetry and depth: The giant mechanical man by Lee Kirk.

With books and music I can get lost, let's say that the last book that impressed me is: A fortune teller once told me by Tiziano Terzani.
As for music (it's my job too), so D-EDGE (my own music) is among my favorite of course, then we can mention: Classical music (especially Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Tchaykovsky, C.Frank, Brahams, Rachmaninov, Saint Saens, Sibelius, Bach, Beethoven etc). The classics of Rock/Pop: Queen, Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons etc. Electronic and new age: Vangelis, J.M.Jarre, Kitaro, Depeche Mode etc. Italian pop music: Lucio Battisti, De Andrè, Claudio Baglioni.
But most of all I happened to like some completely unknown bands that I listened to by chance popping down to a random pub in London.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd been touring Europe twice, busking and selling my CDs.

Went to Croatia searching for friends I was playing with during a 3 weeks holiday, 27 years ago. I didn't remember their surname and didn't know whether they were alive or dead, as the war in the 90s was terrible, like all wars! Nevertheless, I found them and we spent a whole day together! It was emotional.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy meeting people who are specialized in something, people who know things that I don't know, or traveled more than I did.
