About Me

Hello!
I'm a freelancer who moved to Hualien in July of 2018. Writing and teaching are the main things I do for living. I also have two small entrepreneur projects going on. We can talk more about them when we meet (if you're interested!).

Before Hualien, I spent 3 years in Taipei, 1 year travelled between Taipei and Kaohsiung every 2 weeks, one year in Prague, 6 years in Tainan. Let me know if you need any recommendations for secret places for your trip. :)

I was born and grew up in a small village in the west coast of Taiwan. After leaving home for university, I started to meet people from different countries and some of them became very close friends to me. I also spent one year in Prague, Czech Republic as an exchange student in 2011. I visited many of my friends in their hometowns in different corners of the world. That's how I started to travel, to visit friends. All these cross-cultural experiences helps me learn more about our world and know more about Taiwan and myself.

Me and my partner often take a walk along the river in the evening when the weather is nice, to catch the magic hour after sunset. Feel free to join us if you like. It takes 30 mins to walk to the beach, and the trail leads further to another river.

In the weekend, me and my partner like to go to places on motorcycle. We like to ride with friends. If you are interested in road trip on scooter/motorcycle, feel free to rent a scooter and join us.

****Safety first****

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new friends and learning new things.

Friendship

Interests

One of the things I do is to help adults acquire Chinese naturally through comprehensible input, like how everyone acquire their first language.

I'm interested in acquiring other languages in the same way. If you have a few hours, I'd be happy to explore more about this topic with you.

I'm learning guitar and yoga by myself. I'm also a big fan of history and politics. I love to learn how your personal/family history affected by the history of your country. For me history is not boring at all. History is all about stories! :)
