Overview
About Me
I'm passionate about protecting our people and planet. Post uni, this took the form of Sail to the COP, where alongside 35 other environmentalists we sailed the Atlantic Ocean to call for fair and sustainable travel. For the first time in a long time I moved back to NI due to the pandemic. To connect the climate movement, general public and politicians alike, I embarked on the wild vision of organising NI's first ever Climate Festival (Climate Craic - Sep 2021). Now my eyes are set on COP26 in Glasgow, to join the mass movement there and call for the urgent action needed to protect our livelihoods!

Pre pandemic bio:
I've dreamed of travelling since I was no age. The travel bug was truly set free during my year living in La Gomera as a small child. It was there I fell in love with experiencing new cultures (and climates, where it doesn't rain 364 days, 1 day off - welcome to Northern Ireland everybody!). I was fully immersed in the care free life that comes with living on a volcano, where I was able to fully appreciate the beauty of life and incredible scenery. I saw another side to the treatment of animals, and came to understand the finality of what it means for that beautiful cow to get from its tiny, oppressive paddock to my dinner plate. I didn't miss a beat as a 9 year old. I've been vegetarian ever since.

Interests
I enjoy everything that involves an adventure. Or animals. Or card games. I love it all.
I love talking about all manners of things, having a good laugh and I'm always up for a party, or drink, or two - I guess it's the Irish in me ;)
I thoroughly enjoy conversations which get my brain ticking, be it about abstract theories, topics I know little about, or brainstorming how to make the world a better place - I thrive in thought provoking, nonjudgemental conversations

Music, Movies, and Books
Tough one to narrow down.. I'm very mood dependent and love nearly all genres of the above, bar perhaps heavy metal and some extreme horror movies. Music makes every situation better, so in my eyes should always be playing, even just as a background beat for good vibes
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rather than narrow it down to one, I'll collectively group together one amazing period that took the form of my gap year, where I spent 8 months volunteering and travelling through Central and South America
Teach, Learn, Share
Share: Laughter, cooking and easy going, open minded conversations. I love hearing and discussing other perspectives and outlooks on life.
Enjoy life, keep learning from each other and don't stop smiling :)
